2. Data Collection

This website is statically hosted. We do not directly collect or store any personal data from visitors.

This website does not use any cookies requiring consent, analytics services (such as Google Analytics), or advertising networks. A cookie consent banner is therefore not required under data protection regulations (TDDDG / GDPR).

3. Web Hosting

This website is hosted as a static site via the GitHub Pages service:

GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Data transfers to the USA are governed by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Standard server logs (e.g. IP address, access timestamp) are processed exclusively for system security and integrity (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Local Storage & Optional Cloud Backup

By default (in Guest Mode), all pizza recipes, notes, bake sessions, and dough settings created by you are stored exclusively on your local device. Only if you optionally sign in with your Google or Apple account are your recipes and settings backed up privately to your personal cloud storage.

5. App Infrastructure & Cloud Services (Google Firebase)

The mobile app (iOS, Android, Apple Watch & Wear OS) utilizes Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) for core functionality:

Firebase Authentication (Anonymous guest mode and optional sign-in via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple)
Cloud Firestore (Synchronization of Pro license status and — exclusively if you voluntarily link an account — private cloud backup of your saved recipes and settings)
Crashlytics (Anonymized error reports to improve stability and performance)

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

In the free base version of the app, advertisements are served via Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). AdMob may process device identifiers (such as Advertising ID / IDFA) and usage metrics to display and measure ads. Within the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, we implement Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to gather explicit user consent for personalized or non-personalized advertising. Advertisements can be permanently removed by purchasing Pizzatastico Pro.

7. Anonymous Baking Telemetry & Community Pizza Index

To provide aggregate dough benchmarks and global community baking trends (such as average hydration, flour protein including Tipo 00/0/1 flour blends, fermentation stages, oven temperatures, dough profile harmony scores, and pizza styles), the app records strictly anonymous technical metrics when planning and completing a bake session. This data is associated solely with a randomly generated session ID (RFC-4122 v4 UUID) and contains zero personal data (no names, no email addresses, no IP addresses, no advertising IDs). Data is securely transmitted via HTTPS to Cloud Firestore. Participation is entirely optional: you can disable anonymous telemetry at any time in the app settings under 'Support the Pizza Community' (Opt-Out).

8. Your Rights

You have the right to request information about your stored data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose of its collection at no charge. You also have the right to request that it be corrected or deleted.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

9. Account and Data Deletion (In-App & Web)

You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud backup data at any time directly inside the app with a single tap (Settings → Privacy & Cloud → "Delete Account and Data"). Alternatively, even without the app installed, you can request deletion at any time by sending an email with the subject "Account Deletion" to pizzatastico@gmail.com. In-app deletion removes your account and cloud data immediately; email deletion requests are processed and permanently removed within a maximum of 30 days.
